Yesterday, we drove out of Quito going to the monument that is Exactly Over the Equator line.
The precision of the site is 1 milimiter.
Extremelly interesting in astronomy, and we learned a lot. For instance the angle between the sun and that poing on winter and summer solstice is 23degrees and 30min. That is why the tropics of Capricorn and Cancer are in this latitude.
After that , we faced A LONG BUREOCRATIC process to exit Equador and enter Colombia. The roads were very nice, curvy and nice tarmac.
The view again becomes amazing...
